Feelin’ Ginger Peachy
Think of your favorite aunt - the one that you visit and never want to leave, the one who feels like a lifetime friend. My mind goes to memories of my favorite aunt who has inspirational fashion sense (and a closet with endless outfits for me to borrow), overwhelming talent and intelligence to match those great clothes, the perfect hair and the kindest heart. Filled with youthful energy, she’ll dance with me in high heels around the coffee table, or stay up until 4 AM watching chick flicks and eating popcorn.
Then, just imagine having that same favorite aunt become your business partner.
Brooke Corson and Jodi Zorensky are the creators behind Ginger Peachy - niece and aunt and best friends.
In 2002, Brooke came to visit her Aunt Jodi and never left. And since 2006, they’ve been creating dramatic and sophisticated jewelry together in California, with pieces worn by Rock and Republic clothing models, seen in Cosmopolitan magazine and on ‘All My Children’ and ‘Project Runway.’’
Now that sounds like a dream come true.
“We do have a lot of fun and we laugh a lot,” Brooke says. “Aunt Jodi is more than a business partner, she’s an amazing person with a big heart … and a lot of patience.” Brooke and Jodi have created their designs in the hopes to brighten women’s lives in the same way “by creating fine jewelry that enhances and illuminates the lives of its wearers.”
Located in Pacific Palisades, their creations are often inspired by the scenery that surrounds them, including the Pacific Ocean and the Santa Monica Mountains. Along with being surrounded by beautiful Southern California, their relationship with each other also brings creativity to their designs. “Brooke and I kind of fuel each other, we have this great chemistry,” Jodi says about her partnership. “That chemistry combined with our fun-loving nature seems to make people want to be around us.” She adds, “designing a piece that a woman will feel confident and good about wearing is definitely an energy booster.”
The name Ginger Peachy is close to the heart of these ladies. Brooke’s grandfather (Jodi’s father-in-law) would say ‘Ginger Peachy’ with a warm smile, when asked about his well-being. They consider it an optimistic phrase that brings the same joy their designs will bring to its wearers.
These talented women categorize their jewelry as classic, bohemian, boldly modern, utterly feminine, and “of the moment.” In other words, they have created a piece for every style and occasion - and every Delamina woman.
