Cool cars. Driving while intoxicated. Beautiful clothes. Porn videos. Exotic vacations. Paparazzi fodder. Darling little dog. Paris is the ultimate “Barbie on the Dark Side.” Whatever you think of her, you have to admire her way to take the bad publicity and turn it into cold hard cash. And mom Kathy is a cool and collected advocate before the media.

Paris’s mom, Kathy Hilton is a former model, TV and stage actress who is married to Paris’s dad, Rick Hilton, of Hilton Hotel fame. Married since 1979, Rick and Kathy have four kids: Paris, Nicky, Barron and Conrad.

Under strenuous media scrutiny, Kathy wins the award for strong supportive parent. Through all of the various antics of Paris, she has always been there with a ride home from jail, a kind word and a sunny bedroom with soft pillows. And an expression of hope that this time, Paris has learned her lesson. That Paris will not get behind the wheel after drinking. That Paris will be happy. That Paris will be surrounded by adoring fans who love her.

While Paris is a handful, Kathy is a media handlers dream. She always seems to know exactly what to say when to say it. Hmmm… maybe she should add media coach to parents of star children to her resume!
