CHANGES TO OUR POLICY

At Delamina, we will occasionally update our Privacy Policy to reflect cultural changes or in response to your feedback. The date of our last change is always posted at the top of this Privacy Policy. Delamina encourages you to periodically check back and review this Privacy Policy to stay current on how we are protecting your information. Any changes to this Privacy Policy will become effective immediately upon its posting on the Delamina web site. Use of the site constitutes your acceptance of the Privacy Policy then in effect.

COOKIES

A cookie is a small piece of data sent by a web server and stored on your hard drive containing information about your session. We use cookies to store the items you’ve placed in your shopping bag and delete them once you’ve completed your purchase. Usage of a cookie from our site is not linked in any way to any information that identifies you personally. Cookies help us to track and serve the interests of our members in the aggregate by analyzing popular content and merchandise and using that information to improve our site. Cookies do not cause damage to your computer systems or files, and only the web site that transferred a particular cookie to you can read, modify or delete that cookie. You are always free to decline our cookies if your browser permits; although, by declining the use of cookies you may not be able to use certain features on the Web Site.

AGGREGATE INFORMATION

Delamina uses information aggregated from surveys, site traffic patterns and usage, and purchase data in order to enhance and develop our site. Aggregate information is also shared with the Designers and suppliers of merchandise to Delamina for planning purposes. No personally identifiable information is shared with these suppliers unless it is for the purpose of shipping. In most cases Delamina does not share even shipping information with our suppliers as most merchandise is shipped to Delamina for inspection prior to being sent to you. There are rare exceptions in the case of some special orders or repairs.

COMMUNICATION AND OPT OUT

When you provide Delamina with your email address, or send us email correspondence, we retain your email address and use it to communicate with you regarding transactions between you and Delamina such as orders, inquiries, forgotten passwords etc. We do not share your email address with third parties for marketing purposes.

If you opt in to receive information from Delamina about new designers, new merchandise, promotions, surveys, or contests, we will send this information to your provided email address.

If you contact Delamina customer service via phone, email or live chat and provide your phone number or email address, we will use that information to respond to your request. If you place an order with Delamina, we will use your personal information to confirm the order, prevent fraud, send your order and provide you with other information that we think you will find helpful or of interest.

If you choose not to receive communications from Delamina, you may opt-out of receiving future communications by clicking the unsubscribe link provided in all emails from Delamina, or by visiting the Account Settings section under My Account and un-checking the opt in box.

INVITATIONS

Delamina provides members with invitations so that you may invite others to join Delamina. When you provide your friend’s name and email address, Delamina ensures that your friend knows that you have requested that Delamina send an invitation on your behalf. Your friend’s email will only be used for this purpose until further permission is granted.

YOUR ACCOUNT

When you join Delamina, you will be asked to register and create an account. The first time you purchase an item, you will be asked for billing and shipping information. Delamina provides an area called ‘My Account’ that allows you to review or update your information at any time. If you purchase an item that has a Delamina Dot associated with it, you will receive a discount in exchange for answers to some survey questions. The answers to these questions are used by Delamina strictly to enhance our site.

SECURITY

Delamina is dedicated to protecting your personal data and to make your shopping experience safe and secure. Delamina uses a combination of industry-standard security and encryption technologies, processes and organizational procedures to keep your data from being accessed by unauthorized parties. We protect sensitive data (e.g. credit card information) at the time of entry using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption. We require validating information when you forget your password and we store your password on our servers in a non-human-readable form. We require that you enter the Credit Verification Value (CVV) along with your credit card number at checkout. This CVV is never stored on our servers and must be entered with each purchase to protect you against fraud.

SERVICE PROVIDER PARTNERS

Delamina only shares your personally identifiable information when absolutely necessary in order to conduct your business and then only with trusted third party partners obligated to respect your privacy. For example, we will provide our shipping company with your address as necessary to fulfill your order. Also, if you use a credit card or finance your purchase with Delamina we will share your information with the credit or finance agency to complete your order. These third parties only receive the minimum data necessary to perform their function and they are not authorized to use this data for any other purpose.

CHILDREN’S PRIVACY

Delamina does not knowingly collect information on any person under the 13 years of age. We respectfully request that children do not submit information on the Delamina web site. If it comes to our attention that we have collected personally identifiable information from a child under 13, we will delete that data immediately.

DISCLOSURE

We may share any information available to us in order to investigate, prevent or take action regarding suspected fraud, illegal activities, potential threats to the physical safety of any person or as otherwise required by law. We may also exchange personal information with other organizations for fraud protection and credit risk reduction.

TRANSFER OF OWNERSHIP

Your account and information may be transferred as part of a sale of company assets, a merger or acquisition, a bankruptcy or receivership as a business asset of the company.
