The Quick Scoop:

Steve Silver has been into jewelry for decades. He first became fascinated as a young boy - listening to his mother’s jeweler. After obtaining a graduate degree in gemology, he worked in LA for the first 2 years of his career, grading and sorting diamonds. This tedious work taught Steve a strict discipline that would serve him well throughout his career, but he needed a more creative outlet. He began working for a jeweler who specialized in vintage and estate pieces. He fell in love with vintage jewelry, and in 1980, he established his own company specializing in custom and estate jewelry.

Why Delamina?

Steve believes that the jewelry industry is ripe for changes in the supply chain. He feels strongly that designers and suppliers need more information. They need to know where their pieces are, who is interested in them, when they are sold. They need feedback so that they can create pieces that resonate with their customers. He created Delamina to give jewelry designers and suppliers transparency and access to their customers.
