We already know that pearls never go out of style – but these unusual and unique Keshi pearls give us even more reason to have a strand of our very own.

Independent and persistent, Sheryl Crow adopted a child and is raising him as a single mother. The August birthstone is peridot, a vibrant green gem that is found in shades that vary from lime green with a touch of yellow to a deep olive green.

Be careful, though, because it’s a riot out there. When reaching for bracelets, platforms and earrings galore, consider this: Too much color can make you look like a fruit basket. Opt instead for neutral accessories like pearls and sculptural metals. Wood bangles and beads are ideal for that Vuitton safari vibe, while black and white geometric baubles make for perfect Warholian pop. Do go ahead and pile it on. It all started in the 1930s when Coco Chanel, the French designer of “all things glamorous” stated that “Elegance is Refusal”. Her fine jewelry offered the first glimpse of haute couture for women, the vibrantly feminine woman who considered herself ‘powerful while ladylike’. This season, I particularly love freshwater styles featuring warm autumnal hues like bronze, peach, and yellow. But no matter their color, their not-so-perfectly-round shape (the result of a culture process that does not involve the implantation of a bead nucleus) adds a unique, eye-catching, and not-so-precious touch to the bracelets, earrings, and necklaces they adorn.

With fashion’s flower power in full effect, it’s only natural that this natural trend would blossom into the accessories world as well. From brooches to bracelets, some of summer’s most stunning pieces were inspired by the great outdoors.

This was the point where I said who cares? I like to wear tons of jewelry. And I receive compliments on my quirky style all the time. People are always coming up and touching my pendant, picking it up, flipping it around in their hands or jangling my heap of bracelets which sounds like a wind chime. I think it’s all in how you wear what you wear, not how much of it are you wearing.
