August 26, 2009: Because It’s Good to be Queen

When I was very young I dreamed of being a professional philanthropist (frankly, I still do) – and Rania is just that. With her business background and her brains - it suits her very well. And then there is the added benefit that she can afford it.

queen-raniaJust named the 76th most powerful woman in the world by Forbes magazine, this queen of Jordan is glam, gorgeous AND good. Did I mention thin and rich? You want to hate her, but you just can’t. She is passionately outspoken in advocating for women’s rights and against honor killings, poverty and child abuse. She is an active member of over a dozen foundations.

Mother of four, you can find Rania on the cover of the September issue of Conde Nast Traveler magazine. Oh, and in this newsletter as the Delamina woman of the week. All hail the queen!

“While Joan had a steep climb to the top, Melissa was born into closet heaven! Her mother’s closet is every girl’s dream come true. As the pioneer darling of QVC fashion, Joan Rivers has the eye for every in-the-moment trend and has been on every Best Dressed List ever compiled. She has wildly successful jewelry and cosmetics lines.” Read more…

Soon retail buyers were admiring the jewelry design and expressing interest in purchasing from Lisa and Michael.” Read more…

And Chrissy has chosen her favorite Talisman Unlimited piece to share with us. “We already know that pearls never go out of style – but these unusual and unique Keshi pearls give us even more reason to have a strand of our very own.” Read more…
