Melissa, where do I begin? I’ve only seen you in concert once, but your raspy voice moves the very core of me. I respect the way you know who you are and live your life with such definition. You’ve never been one to exploit your celebrity, you didn’t set out to be a political figure, but you know that what you do has influence. You are devoted to your causes: defending the environment, finding a cure for breast cancer and advocating for gay rights.

Last week you sang your heart out in a pink plane to a passionate audience, forging a mile high club of a different order. Melissa Etheridge, thank you for sharing your fight and continuing to push. You are the Delamina woman of the week.
