THE DIRT

Betsy has always loved art and fashion and has been making jewelry since she was a teenager. She is inspired by the unexpected, a twig, a button, any object can spark an idea. Betsy is heavily influenced by street fashion, noticing trends, but incorporating only the parts that are true to her personal style.

Betsy studied art formally at the Rhode Island School of Design and started her own business in San Francisco a year after graduation.

Using 18K yellow and rose gold as well as silver, she views the creation of jewelry as her art medium and strives to create pieces that will be handed down for generations.

Which celebrity do you most envision wearing your designs? And what would they be doing?

While I do not give more importance to celebrity, I do know that the celebrities who wear my jewellery do so because it is comfortable and stylishly unique. I imagine they do everything while wearing it.

What type of jewelry do you like to wear?

I like to layer all colors of gold and oxidized silver. I never worry about it "matching" because it all works together.

a year long trip to coastal towns and cities around the world with my family.

What article of jewelry do you think most enhances a woman's body? Why?

That would be the individual woman's choice, depending on which part of her body she would like to draw attention to.
