THE DIRT
William Schraft began his career sketching automobiles the moment he could hold a pencil, nurturing his sense of proportion and balance throughout his school years. His father was in the jewelry industry and this influenced him to turn his focus to jewelry design.
William is inspired by the intricate woodwork in old homes and scrolls on Victorian furniture, as well as European Iron work on gates and windows. His biggest fashion influence is natural, beautiful women.
While most of his creativity is self generated, he studied with a number of German manufacturers in Pforzheim, Germany. He also attended the Parsons School of Design in New York.
William likes to work with Sterling Silver, 18K yellow gold, colored stones and diamonds.
